Area of Study in Information Assurance

The Computer Science and Computer Engineering department offers an Area of Study in Information Assurance.  Students will have an opportunity to learn the security needs of computer systems, assess threats, develop safeguard solutions, and implement security protocols at both hardware and software levels.  The courses cover ranges of information systems, including networked systems, secure architecture design, databases, and applications.  Students are required to complete at least four of the following graduate level courses:

  • Computer Security
  • Cryptography
  • Network Security
  • Computer Forensics
  • RFID Information Systems Security
  • Wireless Systems Security
  • Database Security
  • Secure Digital System Design
  • Computer Architecture Security
